Eligibility and Criteria

This award celebrates a company, enterprise, or private sector leader that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing self-care in Uganda. By leveraging their resources, networks, and expertise, these entities drive innovation and access, making self-care a practical option for more Ugandans. Their work may include product development, investments, partnerships, sponsorships, and advocacy efforts to normalize and integrate self-care practices.

Who is eligible:

  • Local or multinational businesses, pharmaceutical companies, insurers, digital health providers, or other private entities with demonstrated leadership in supporting public health through self-care initiatives.

What nominators should consider:

  • Evidence of innovative services or products that support self-care.
  • Partnerships with government, civil society, or communities to expand reach.
  • Financial or in-kind investments made to promote sustainable health behavior change.
  • The organization’s contribution to health equity by reaching underserved communities.
